Smart Solution Meets with Oman’s Ministry of Health to Discuss Local Production of Molecular Diagnostic Kits

Muscat, 23 September 2026 . A delegation from Smart Solution For International Trade met with officials from the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman to present the company’s project to establish a specialised facility for manufacturing molecular diagnostic kits in the Sultanate.

During the meeting, the Smart Solution team outlined the plan for a factory built to ISO 13485, GMP and IVD requirements. It will produce widely used molecular diagnostic kits, including DNA/RNA extraction, HPV, HIV, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis and syphilis kits. The team also presented results from performance comparisons with CE-IVD certified international brands.

The discussion covered the project’s role in reducing reliance on imports, building a local supply chain for essential diagnostic tests, and creating jobs and hands on training for Omani professionals in molecular diagnostics.
